Our core services cover governance, strategy, risk management, and the development of metrics, targets and KPIs in line with the TCFD recommendations. With a team of experienced ESG and sustainability practitioners, we offer deep expertise in relevant frameworks, including those from exchanges such as Bursa, HKEX, SGX, the National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF), the Simplified ESG Disclosure Guide (SEDG) by Capital Markets Malaysia, and the i-ESG guidelines from MITI.

We assist clients in addressing climate change, managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and preparing for sustainability disclosure reporting, while also helping improve ESG ratings. Our rigorous ESG data verification and assurance services ensure accuracy and transparency in reporting.

Current Role

As Principal Consultant at VeriSustain MyESG Solutions, KC specializes in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability consulting. His key responsibilities and expertise include:

Strategic guidance on Sustainability Reporting frameworks, including Bursa, GRI, SASB, CSRD, UNSDGs, and stock exchange sustainability codes

  • Advisory on ESG disclosures, governance, strategy, risk management, metrics, and targets in line with ISSB, SBTi, and TCFD standards (IFRS S1 & S2).
  • ESG adoption, compliance, and reporting for public-listed companies (PLCs) and MSMEs (aligned with MITI Malaysia’s i-ESG and SEDG guidelines).
  • Implementation of robust Risk Management Frameworks and Corporate Governance reporting.
  • Internal control reviews (ICR) and adoption of ISO Management System Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 21001, Sirim55, and more).

KC has actively served issuers listed on the Bursa Malaysia Main Market, ACE Market, and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX), providing sustainability capacity-building and tailored ESG advisory services.

Auditing Expertise

KC has been a registered lead associate auditor with SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd since 2000. He serves as an audit team leader for diverse sectors, including financial institutions (FIs), educational organisations, government agencies, and the service industry, performing independent third party certification audits, surveillance audits, and pre-assessment reviews.

Future-Ready Capacity Building

Anticipating the evolving landscape of sustainability, KC is proactively advancing his expertise in the following disciplines:

  1. Sustainable Finance Certification – Currently pursuing the Certified Capital Market Professional – Sustainable and Responsible Investment (CCMP-SRI), offered by the Securities Industry Development Corporation (SIDC), Malaysia.
  2. IFRS S1 and S2 Compliance Advisory – Building capacity to provide advisory services aligned with the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), as adopted by the National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF).
  3. Climate-Related Impacts and Opportunities – Strengthening capabilities in assessing climate-related impacts, risks, and opportunities (IRO), as well as expertise in Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS).

Notable Past Achievements

Between 2013 and 2022, KC played a pivotal role in managing Corporate-wide Quality Management Systems (QMS), Risk Management, CSR, ESG, and sustainability initiatives for a prominent integrated property development and construction group listed on Bursa Malaysia. Highlights include:

  • Serving as a key member of the due diligence team for the successful listing of the company on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia (vide RTO) in 2015.
  • Facilitating the IPO listing of the group’s educational entity (an IGCSE-focused international school) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (GEM Board) in 2018.
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, 21001, and more) and sustainability frameworks (Bursa’s Sustainability Requirements, HKSE ESG Code, GRI, and UNSDGs).

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Andrea brings a strong foundation in accounting and corporate governance to her work.

Her qualifications include:

  • Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety).
  • Certified ESG Professional accredited by Veritas University College and UNGCMYB Academy.

Krystine Lee’s Profile

Krystine Lee is a dedicated Management Consultant and Trainer with a strong focus on management systems. Her journey began with a BSc (Hons) in Food Technology and Bioprocessing, which laid the foundation for her extensive expertise. Over the years, she has gained numerous professional qualifications in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Occupational Health and Safety Management (OHSAS), Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), as well as certifications in BRC, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Halal Certification, and ESG.

As an assessor, Krystine conducts thorough evaluations of organizations seeking compliance with ISO standards. Her insights into ESG practices enable businesses to identify areas for improvement, fostering a culture of continuous enhancement within their operations.
